Delivery & Collection
Please read this first. Spare Parts Finder is a marketplace. Most parts listed here are sold by independent third-party sellers, not by us. When you buy from one of those sellers, your contract of sale is with that seller — they are responsible for the part, its description and its condition.
Where a listing is sold by Spare Parts Finder itself, the seller name on the listing will be “Spare Parts Finder”, and we are the supplier for that sale.
Two ways to get your part
Collection
Many sellers let you collect in person. This is usually the fastest and cheapest option, and it lets you inspect the part before you take it. Arrange a time with the seller first — most operate from a yard or workshop with set hours.
Courier delivery
Sellers who offer delivery send parts by courier anywhere in South Africa. The listing shows which options that seller offers.
Timeframes
| Destination | Typical delivery |
|---|---|
| Main centres (Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, Cape Town, Gqeberha, Bloemfontein) | 1–3 business days |
| Regional towns | 2–5 business days |
| Outlying and farm areas | 3–7 business days |
These are the courier's estimates, not guarantees. Parts are dispatched once payment reflects and the seller has prepared the item. Large or heavy items — engines, gearboxes, body panels, bumpers, doors — take longer to arrange and may need a specialist freight service.
Delivery cost
Delivery is quoted per order, because cost depends on the size and weight of the part and where it is going. A bumper or bonnet costs considerably more to send than an alternator. The seller will confirm the charge before dispatch. We do not add a delivery mark-up.
Tracking
Where the courier provides a tracking number, the seller will send it to you by WhatsApp or email. Ask the seller if you have not received one within two business days of paying.
When your part arrives
- Inspect it before you sign, if you can.
- Photograph the packaging and the part if anything looks damaged, before unwrapping it further.
- Report damage or a wrong item to the seller within 48 hours, with photographs.
If something goes wrong
Parts damaged in transit, sent to the wrong address, or lost by the courier are the seller's responsibility to resolve with the courier. Contact the seller first. If they do not respond within 7 days, email info@sparepartsfinder.co.za with the order details.

Outside South Africa
The marketplace serves South Africa. Some sellers may arrange delivery to neighbouring countries by agreement, in which case any duties, taxes and clearing costs are for your account.
